1.a. What is MUN?
Model United Nations is a simulation of the UN General Assembly and other UN bodies. In MUN, students take on the role of delegates from UN member states and NGOs to debate current issues on the conference agenda. During the conference delegates make speeches, prepare draft resolutions, and negotiate with others in an attempt to resolve conflicts.
1.b. Why participate in an MUN conference?
There are many good reasons to participate in an MUN conference. You can
- Gain insights into current affairs and international relations
- Meet new friends from different countries
- Improve your English
- Gain confidence by learning how to speak infront of others
